We now offer a kit for the "do-it-yourself" crowd that looks just like the one pictured on the left. All the pieces are pre-cut by an Amish Craftsman. All you have to provide are the screws, a couple hinges for the clean-out door, an eye bolt for a lock, a piece of cable to hang it, a shingle and the finish. We recommend an oil finish using Linseed Oil, (flax oil,) to waterproof it and make it non toxic for baby squirrels who will teethe on it as they grow up. This is the most economical squirrel box on the market at only $39.95, plus shipping. We pack it all in a large Flat Rate Priority Box, so no matter where you live in the US, you'll pay one Flat Rate for Shipping. It also comes with an exploded view for ease in constructing!
The kit also comes with a predator guard that you place right under the entrance hole on the inside. This prevents a predator, such as a Raccoon from being able to reach in and snatch a baby squirrel. You can specify where you want the entrance hole to be placed by specifying right, left or front on the contact form below. If you forget to specify, we will contact you when you order to make sure you have the entrance where you want it!
